Social Media Community Coordinator (Volunteer/Intern)

Summary:

The position is part-time, about 20 hours per week and will require you to telecommute for the majority of  the time.  There will be bi-weekly meetings in our downtown Toronto office. We’re looking for a smart, motivated individual with experience in social media to participate in our intern program. You’ll assist with maintaining an active social presence across a variety of social media networks and develop content/promotional/community engagement for the TSSS editorial content and events.

About the Position:

  • Social media admin for social media accounts
  • Research/develop/maintain best practices
  • Help create content and social marketing strategies
  • Execute and expand community building initiatives
  • Bring new ideas to the table and provide support/insight to fellow interns in the program

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A creative thinker who will contribute innovative ideas
  • Ability to successfully complete multiple projects within a deadline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & Google Docs tools
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Prior experience using social media management tools for scheduling, listening and analysis
  • Outgoing and social by nature, with a team player mindset.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in the latest Social Media technologies
  • Interest in Sustainability is a PLUS
